SERVICES FOR 1/31/2010 CANCELLED DUE TO SNOW

While the preacher/teacher side of me would love to have the opportunity to minister tomorrow the Pastor/Shepherd side of me says it is my first priority to keep the sheep safe. I feel with roads, parking lots and sidewalks still being snow and ice covered in most areas it would be in the best interest of the flock to cancel tomorrows service. Matthew 2:13

an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream. "Get up," he said?

Get Up is translated from the Greek word egeiro and means to waken or get up from sleep, disease, death, obscurity, inactivity, ruins, to lift/raise up again, to stand.

God could have just told Joseph to go to Egypt but he first tells him to get up. This same Greek word is spoken numerous times to people in the New Testament by Jesus including the cripple whom he told to “get up” and walk.

Beginning January 3^rd we are going to have 21 days of fasting and prayer for Life Church and Christians in general to GET UP! We are praying for people to wake up out of spiritual sleep and dead religion, to rise up from sickness and disease as we see multitudes of miraculous healings, For Christian?s to rise up out of obscurity to places of prominence and leadership in the market place and for the Church in general to rise up from its inactivity and do the great works and miracles of God it was created to do.

I invite you to join us as we spend 21 days fasting and praying. Many will do a fast like Daniel did, fasting from choice foods like meat and sweets. Others may fast from caffeine or sugar, TV or the computer. You can fast from as many or as few things as you would like.
