Adopt - A - Block is a community action program designed to meet the individual needs faced by Nashville?s poorer residents. By getting out there and meeting people where they live we have a better chance of knowing what their individual needs are and therefore we are better able to meet those needs. We have chosen a block in the Napier Community, with one of the highest crime rates in Nashville. We believe this is an excellent place to begin.

On Saturday May 6th 2006 the Nashville Dream Center took a team of 15 into the Napier Community of Downtown Nashville. We had an awesome time sharing the love of Christ in practical ways. Since this was our first Adopt - A - Block we spent much of the day just meeting the people who live in the 40 plus homes we have adopted. We brought flowers for the homes and bags filled with goodies for the kids. People opened up to us and told us how we could help them. When we go back on May 20th we will be mowing grass, fixing a leaky faucet, painting a house and repairing a damaged roof along with talking with people and picking up trash. I truly believe that if we go into this community with love, then people will see the truth and come to know Jesus Christ. That is an awesome goal to look forward to.
